Press release

The very competitive Fast Moving Consumer Goods market (FMCG) is always looking for cost savings on packaging. By leaving out the cardboard on film packages it can result in significant cost savings. The savings in upstream packaging machines and board will guarantee a very short ROI (return on investment) including the palletiser.

CSi supplies a high-tech palletiser to cope with these difficult to palletise products. The latest CSi C-5000i palletiser series can handle a large variety of pack types from normal cases and open trays to diaper bundles and even bundles of a collection of cans or jars in film without a cardboard tray.

The combination of a very sophisticated machine control system, using an IPC and servo controlled movements, makes it possible to palletise very fragile and/or vulnerable packs like a can collation in just film.  The collation of round cans with a rim on top and bottom will stay in shape and conveying and palletising should not damage the film. CSi proved that this is possible on the latest generation of palletisers, namely the C5000i series, not only for a very wide variety of packs with cans but also for diapers and those with capacities from 25-120 bundles/min.

The very sophisticated Industrial PC control from Beckhoff guarantees ultra fast machine controls including an advanced MMI (man machine interface). This means user friendly graphics to indicate real time and, the machine status including product positions, with easy pattern generation and pattern calibration. It is completed by a  Windows look alike help function on board as well as all machine documentation.

For a live demonstration of the C-5000i, visit CSi at Interpack in Düsseldorf Germany, between 21 and 27 April, in Hall 12 , Stand C14. Look for more information on www.csiweb.nl.
